Valuations
After the signing of the Treaty of New Echota in 1835, the United States appointed agents to record the value of Cherokee property in the East. This included their land and “improvements” including houses, outbuildings, cleared land, crops, and orchards. These records are from Entry 224: Property Valuations, RG 75, NARA.
